Pretty Boys and Music

No, this isn’t about how I got into K-pop. I’ve rambled on about that already a couple of times. This post is more about how much I love Uta No Prince-Sama(from here on UtaPri) and fangirling about this cute AF boy that is seemingly too pure for this Earth.

I was working from home and looking for a distraction when I read up about the game in a piece from Kotaku. I’m a sucker for reverse harem series sometimes so I decided to give the game a chance. (FYI, Reverse Harem means lots of pretty boys, one girl/love interest. Take Ouran High School Host Club as an example. Or Fushi Yugi. Or the Wallflower, which I have never been able to finish because Borders went out of business. T_T)

I got the game initially because I found out the voice actor for Tokiya Ichinose was Mamoru Miyano(TAMAKIIIIII <3) and I was sold. I loved him in Ouran High School Host Club. Of course, my fave was Mori senpai and Kyoya but that’s another story altogether.

MOVING ONTO MY POINT.

I started the game and then I settled down to watch the first season of the show on Hulu since it turned out to be there. I fell in love with most of the cast, found Nanami to be as bland as ever, and Natsuki was so cute. Then he just got cuter and cuter and sweeter and then his glasses came off.

OH MAH LORD I WAS NOT READY.

Sadly the game doesn’t have much of Satsuki(the persona he develops when his glasses are off) save for that Butler event which I ranked top 1% out of tens of thousands of people. I couldn’t do it for the next even in the fall though. That sadly requires money.

Part of the reason I’m posting this is that I said I’d go on about this at some point. The other reason is that this week there’s another Natsuki event and I’m at a loss. The card reward is too cute and I want only the best of that boy. He says the nicest things. I’ve taken so many screenshots of things he says to me when I interact with him on the main screen.

I believe I could use more of his positivity in my life. I’m pretty sure that’s why I’m a sucker for a lot of the things he says.

So bring it on UtaPri. I’ve had a wonderful year enjoying it and I can’t wait to see what more amazing art you have for me in the future.
