More Quarantine Thoughts – Brief Catch-up

First off, I want to say thank you for 151 followers on the blog! Thank you so much!

Secondly, it’s been a while since I’ve rambled on about how things have been going during this quarantine.

I’ve been having some good days, some bad. Today more government scandals as another private chat was leaked, revealing more corruption in the government. It’s typical here. With the pandemic, the corruption has been even more noticeable.

I was gifted Animal Crossing: New Horizons over a month ago and I have not been able to put it down. I’ve been trying to get a hang of everything as I’ve never played an Animal Crossing game before this one. It’s never been my cup of tea. I’ve absolutely enjoyed this one but I find myself lacking creativity in my island layout.

I’ll slowly figure it out, I guess. I do enjoying playing with my sister, who also has a copy. One of my best memories is having my sister over on my island and chasing her with my net for the better half of an hour just to bash her on the head with it. I’ve also been running around dressed like a princess/noble, living out my dreams with my tiara hair.

This game has been a great breath of fresh air. I love every minute of it.

I also managed to play my way through Pokémon Sword in less than a week. I’ve yet to complete the Pokédex, but I do plan to do so. The game was another gift, an early birthday gift from my family to help me through quarantine.

Places are slowly starting to open in the island but certain things have been pushed back. I try to leave my apartment as little as possible. I generally only go out three times a week at most. Once or twice to the grocery store, and one time to pick up fresh sourdough bread from my favorite café in Old San Juan.

I’ve also started to take a K-pop cardio class via a Zoom recently. It’s been a great break from my routine of just being in front of the TV or the PC. The class has also slowly been helping me get my confidence back with my dancing. That’s leaps and bounds over what I used to feel before. I hope it continues.
