MAMAMOO IS BACK AND THEY CAME TO SLAY.
I talked about them a few months ago when they released ‘gogobebe’, I loved the lyrics and the song. I didn’t write about ‘Gleam’ or ‘Destiny’ because I didn’t feel up to it.
This song has been teased for so long I was just going through the teasers to get my fix of this bop until it came out.
The stylist in this entire project should be given a raise. They all looked AMAZING. Wheein looking amazing with that hair, Hwasa with that bob, Solar with that short hair, and Moonbyul looks amazing with those purple waves.
‘Hip’ is so catchy that I don’t even know where to begin. I spammed those teasers that came out like crazy. The dance climbed up fast as a dance I want to learn. I’ve been trying to not perform the bits I’ve sort of learned already while walking around.
I haven’t been able to sit down and give the album a full listen but I plan to do so soon enough. Vocally these women never disappoint. This track is more subdued to their normal performance range but I don’t mind it. It’s actually refreshing to hear them perform something that’s more geared to towards the ‘fun’ aspect of K-pop.
Mamamoo have served us yet another bop that is iconic for 2019. I’m super happy about this song and I’m going to try and learn this dance ASAP after I finish learning (G)I-DLE’s ‘Lion’.
Or maybe I’ll learn both at the same time. I just want to dance really.
