I’ll be going back to my answer from a few days ago in this challenge but I like a recent Buzzfeed post, the songs in this movie need to be acknowledged for the masterpieces that they are. If you want to read Megan’s answer for today’s answer, you can do so right here.
Day 28 – Favorite movie soundtrack?
This is it, this is my moment! Lol, I’m kidding. A little.
This movie’s soundtrack holds a special place in my heart. It’s not just the two songs that Powerline sings in the movie. It’s ‘On the Open Road’ and it’s hidden jokes, ‘Nobody Else but You’ as well. These songs are classics for me.
I already said these two are my most overplayed Disney songs and I hope you can see why. These are catchy, still hold to this day, and they’re so uplifting. When the movie was honored for it’s 20th anniversary in 2015, they had performers for ‘I 2 I’ and ‘On the Open Road’. The latter being the first time Jason Marsden was able to sing in his Max voice. He wasn’t able to sing then.
It was great that he finally got his chance to perform the iconic song and now all I want to do is sit back and watch this movie while Tropical Storm Dorian passes by.
