YAAAAAAAAAS! MAMAMOOOOO
I was waiting for this. Hwasa is already a QUEEN and here they all slay. I have been looping the track all day. I absolutely love it. I knew I was going to like it, but I didn’t expect it to like it as much as I do.
That phrase is the one that sticks with me so much. It’s absolutely insane. I mean, I sometimes fuss so much about not being okay and that’s fine. It’s okay to not be fine all the time. I do need to keep working on myself though. That hasn’t changed.
Moving on, music. The track is a slow beat but that’s not a bad thing. I really like it, it sounds different. That’s a thing I appreciate about MAMAMOO, their title tracks do not disappoint. They’ve always got something unique to them.
There’s plenty of dance to see here and it’s slower than Egotistic for example. Which has a similar guitar sound but less fire. Just because it has less fire doesn’t mean it’s lacking something. In this song’s case, the lyrics are just great. They’re inspiring. I already mentioned that the ‘It’s okay to not be fine’ line in the hook before the chorus was already something I resonated with but the chorus is good too.
Moonbyul in that suit though. OH. MY. GOD. SLAY.
I am really enjoying this song and I can’t wait to listen to the whole mini album. I’ve already read around that this is their best first day in sales. I am so happy for them! I really wish they could be more successful. I will admit I slept on them for a long while until ‘Egostistic’ made me realize what I was missing out on.
I really do think this track for me is amazing and it’s not like ‘Señorita’. I liked it from first listen and this one had the hook that I could go back to and remember upon first hearing it. Also, the video’s got stunning visuals. They help so much in remembering the song as well.
Crashing that party was by far super funny. They look like they had the time of their life though. So there’s that.
I’m not much of a party person, so I can’t relate. XD
Anyway, that’s it for this Fangirl Friday, next week I might go off about another song released this week or just go with an oldie. You’ll have to wait and see. ;P
